About the Clinic

The UTMSU Tax Clinic is part of the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP). We help students with simple tax situations file their returns for free. Our volunteers are trained by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).

Eligibility

  • Modest income
  • Simple tax situation
  • No capital gains/losses
  • No self-employment income
  • No rental income

How to File

Book an Appointment

Appointments open in February. Book online or visit infoBooth.

Prepare Documents

Bring your T4, T2202 (Tuition), T4A, rent receipts, and valid ID.

Attend Clinic

Meet with a volunteer to complete your return. It usually takes 30-45 minutes.
