Essential processes for maintaining your campus group's status and funding with the UTMSU.
Club Recognition
Recognition is an annual process where student groups renew their membership with the UTMSU, or apply for the first time. The recognition season takes place over the summer semester. Groups that do not resubmit their application may lose their club status or have their funds withheld.
Club Recognition Requirements
The following requirements apply to clubs only:
- Constitution
- Events breakdown
- Executive team list with at least four undergraduate UTM students
- Membership list with at least 25 undergraduate UTM students
Benefits of Recognition

- •Access to office space and lockers
- •A club bank account and bank card
- •Room bookings in the Student Centre

2. Submit Your Application
Financial Audit
Audits keep campus group finances transparent and accountable. Recognized groups must complete a mandatory audit twice each year - once in the fall (around November) and once in the winter (around April). Completing your audit keeps your group eligible for continued UTMSU funding.
What to Submit
