Club Elections

Guidelines and resources for conducting fair and democratic elections.

All recognized student groups are required to hold democratic elections for their executive positions at least once a year. The UTMSU provides oversight and support to ensure fair and transparent elections.

Election Periods

Advertising Period

Elections must be advertised to all registered group members for at least one week.

Nomination Period

Eligible members may self-nominate for executive positions under the supervision of the CRO.

All Candidates Meeting

All candidates must attend a mandatory meeting reviewing election rules and procedures. If they cannot attend, they must send a representative.

Campaign Period

Candidates may campaign to the group's membership.

Voting Period

Eligible UTMSU members vote for the incoming executive through a process organized by the CRO.
