Transit Advocacy pushes for better public transit, expanded bus routes, improved service hours, and affordable transportation for students. Accessible transit is a human right, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure students can travel safely and accessibly.

Public transit plays a vital role in the daily lives of UTM students. Thousands rely on MiWay services to travel to campus, work, and other destinations across the city. As Mississauga continues to grow, reliable and accessible transit remains essential to student success and community connection.

UTMSU conducts an annual transit survey to understand students' experiences and challenges. The resulting report highlights student perspectives on MiWay routes, service quality, and opportunities for improvement. Alongside the Mississauga Transit Survey, UTMSU is launching a Brampton Transit Survey to better understand students' transportation needs. Keep an eye out for both surveys and make your voice heard.
