About This Campaign
UTM is a diverse community united by the pursuit of education. The United for Equity campaign challenges all forms of discrimination — racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, and more — that affect how people access post-secondary education and perpetuate societal inequities.
What We're Fighting For
- Educate members on what systems of oppression look like and how they operate
- Host workshops on student rights and tools to combat oppression
- Advocate for policy changes and protections for students on and off campus
- Provide resources and create spaces to discuss equity issues
